Heliocon is a New Zealand based, independent consulting and contracting firm operating in the fields of energy, marine science, industrial engineering and management.

The company was founded in August 2013.  Its Managing Director, Guenter Wabnitz, has been working in the energy sectors of Germany, New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific, Asia and Middle East for over 35 years and is well qualified to lead this new venture.

Environmental health and sustainable energy have become key interests by most communities and Heliocon chose to provide its future services predominantly in these areas.  Its latest business additions are marine scientific services including seabed monitoring, environmental mapping and underwater CCTV technology. 

Heliocon promotes social and economic development with the help of reliable, economic and sustainable infrastructure on land and in the water.  We provide a wide range of services, including planning, design, construction, operations and ongoing improvements.  We combine our experience from industrial engineering, oil and gas, power generation and asset management to create new systems in challenging environments, such as the seabed and remote communities.  We pride ourselves on excellence and reliability and will go the extra mile to help our clients and customers.
